About Me
| I study the Mississippian period peoples of the Midsouthern United States (AD 1000-1450). My recent research both focuses on community and identity at the major mound center of Kincaid in southernmost Illinois and on regional interaction at contemporaneous sites in southeast Missouri. My true passion is being in the field, although I have a soft spot for faunal and ceramic analyses and enjoy experimental archaeology and the study of prehistoric vernacular architecture as well. |
