Popular Anthropology Magazine seeks submissions from Visual Anthropologists for publication in future issues. Each quarter, Popular Anthropology Magazine features the photography of a visual anthropologist on the cover of the magazine. In addition, a two-page spread on the inside of the magazine is devoted to both the photography and the biography of the visual anthropologist. As with all of our other submissions, Popular Anthropology Magazine allows visual anthropologists to maintain copyright over the photographs they submit and the edited text; we only require permission to publish and disseminate the material.

• Two to ten photographs of your subject(s)
• A 100-200 word biographical sketch
• A photograph of yourself
• A 400-800 word essay describing the photograph(s). Information can include, but is not limited to, a description of the research site, the reason why the photograph was taken, your experiences there, and etc.
