What We're Looking For Authors retain copyright to both their edited manuscripts and accompanying photographs they submit. A copyright symbol with the authors name appears on the published manuscript.
As a quarterly, interdisciplinary magazine, Popular Anthropology is interested in providing knowledgeable articles on many subjects including, but not limited to, anthropology (cultural, linguistic, biological, and archaeology), sociology, history, and medicine. Scholarly articles are welcome. However, authors should explain concepts, terminology, and theories in a way that is plain and easy for everyone to understand.
Please see our Style Sheet before submitting your manuscript. Popular Anthropology is also interested in publishing artwork which includes, but is not limited to, pencil and ink drawings and photographs. The details on how to submit those items may be found in the Artist Guidelines.
